Service Description

Introduce your horse or pony to the benefits of hydrotherapy with our Taster Session. This first-time experience on the FMBS Aqua Treadmill is designed to gently familiarise them with the water treadmill in a calm, supportive environment. Ideal for building confidence, promoting relaxation, and assessing suitability for future sessions.


Cancellation Policy

Equine Aqua Treadmill – Terms & Conditions Booking & Payments • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your slot. • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Cancellations made after this time are non-refundable. • Please arrive promptly – late arrivals may result in a shortened session. Horse Requirements • Horses must be in good general health and fit to undertake aqua treadmill exercise. • Please notify us before your session if your horse has any injuries, medical conditions, or is on any medication. • Vaccinations (including tetanus) must be up to date. Before Your Appointment • Please wash off all mud and dirt from legs and hooves before arrival. Dirty horses may be refused entry to the treadmill. • Tail must be bandaged and secured up to prevent hair getting caught in the treadmill. • Remove all rugs, boots, and tack unless otherwise instructed. • Pick out hooves before loading onto the treadmill. What to Expect • On your horse’s first session, we’ll carry out an initial assessment and introduce them slowly to the treadmill. • Session duration will vary depending on your horse’s fitness level, previous experience, and goals. • Horses must be handled by a competent person (you are welcome to handle your own horse if preferred). • Our staff will always prioritise your horse’s safety and welfare. Safety & Welfare • Any horse showing signs of distress, lameness, or health concerns will have the session stopped immediately at our discretion. • Handlers must wear appropriate footwear (no open-toed shoes) and follow staff instructions at all times. • We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage caused by horses, handlers, or owners during their time on-site, except in cases of negligence on our part. Aftercare • Horses may require walking off and rugging up depending on weather conditions and fitness levels. • Please monitor your horse post-session and contact us if you have any concerns.
